The Henke Flow Switch DW-K was developed for applications such as monitoring refrigerant circulation systems with low flow rates. It is compact and ideal for switching points between 0.1 and 2.5 l/min, meeting the wishes and demands of our customers. It operates reliably according to the piston measuring principle and is resistant to dirt and limescale.
Piston Type Flow Switch measuring principle
A specially shaped piston equipped with a permanent magnet is pushed in a certain position by a spring. The flow displaces the piston depending on the speed versus the force of the spring. When a certain distance is reached between the magnet located outside the housing and the reed switch, the switch is operated contactlessly via the permanent magnet. By sliding the magnetic switch, the switch point can be adjusted. The specially shaped piston, which is subdivided into measuring and guiding sections, has a lot of clearance between the piston and the housing. It measures precise switching with high reliability. It is unusually good for this type of measurement method and is extremely resistant to contamination.
