TCG140-4 stands as a versatile 4G LTE universal IO module. It offers LTE Cat.1 connectivity with a maximum upload speed of up to 5 Mbit. Additionally, the device boasts compatibility with 3G and 2G wireless communication, extending its data connectivity capabilities across a range of networks, including LTE-FDD, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+, HSDPA, HSUPA, WCDMA, EDGE, and GPRS. This extensive network coverage ensures its usability in locations worldwide with cellular network coverage.

While the 4G LTE universal IO module can operate independently, it has been optimized for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The primary communication option for M2M purposes is through the use of HTTP API. The device supports HTTP and HTTPS Post methods with XML or JSON file formats.

The module offers a multitude of analog inputs, supporting both 0 to 10 volts and current loop inputs ranging from 0 to 20mA. Furthermore, it is compatible with the MODBUS RTU interface, enabling seamless integration with various industrial devices, including all Teracom sensors.

The standard analog input ranges, coupled with the MODBUS RTU interface, simplify the integration of this unit into industrial applications.

TCG140-4 is an upgraded version of the popular TCG140, with the main difference being the technology and communication ranges. However, the entire input-output peripherals and digital interfaces remain identical. This makes migrating from the 2G device to the 4G LTE module a straightforward process, particularly in areas where 2G services are being phased out.

Initial device setup is accomplished through an intuitive graphical interface using a standard web browser. Additionally, remote configuration is possible in the field, either through SMS or HTTP API commands. Firmware updates can also be executed over-the-air.

The 4G LTE universal IO module is housed in a robust metal enclosure and includes accessories for DIN-Rail mounting, ensuring durability and ease of installation.
