4G LTE wireless I/O module TCG120-4
TCG120-4 serves as a wireless I/O module supporting 4G LTE connectivity. In addition to 4G, this device is compatible with 3G and GSM-GPRS networks, making it a versatile last-mile module capable of communication in areas covered by various mobile networks. The choice of communication technology is typically automatic but can also be manually configured during the setup process.
This module features a range of input and output peripherals, including 2 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs, and two relays with both normally open and normally closed contacts. Moreover, it supports a 1-Wire interface, allowing the connection of up to 4 Teracom sensors.
The initial configuration of the device is performed through an intuitive graphical interface using a standard web browser. When in the field, remote setup is possible through SMS or HTTP API commands.
The device can also operate in offline mode, where relays can be triggered based on alarm states from monitored parameters such as digital/analog inputs or connected sensors. This enables the device to directly control various processes.
The 4G LTE wireless I/O module can seamlessly integrate into supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. For this purpose, it employs supported M2M communication protocols, namely HTTP API and MQTT.
With HTTP API, the module periodically transmits its complete status via XML or JSON files, whereas MQTT is optimized for efficient operation even in low-bandwidth network conditions. Further information about MQTT can be found in our blog.
