The operational principle of the SE series is straightforward. A unit is typically found along a chamber wall at the top, middle, or bottom of a chamber. The synchronous motor turns the pedal at 1 RPM when no material is present. When the material blocks this rotation, the motor surrounding the pedal stops, changing the state of the microswitch (showing an alarm or control).
